Loy Krathong Festival:เทศกาลลอยกระทง

Loy Krathong Festival 2014

Loy Krathong is one of the most popular festivals in Thailand. It's also known as the Festival of Light. This festival is celebrated nationwide on the full moon night of the 12th Thai lunar month. This year's Loy Krathong Festival is held on November 6th.

How to make a Krathong

You will need: 1 banana trunk, 20 banana leaves, 20 small nails or pins, a stapler and some staples, a knife and scissors, some colourful flowers, 1 candle and 3 incense sticks

5 Easy Steps to Make a Krathong

First, cut or slice a banana trunk to use as the base of a krathong.

Second, cut and fold the banana leaves like a lotus petal shape.

Next, pin the petals all around the base of the krathong.

After that, place colourful flowers, three incense sticks and a small candle in the centre.

Finally, float your beautiful krathong in the water and watch the candlelight from the floating krathong.

มุมความรู้ภาษาอังกฤษเดือนนี้ขอนำเด็กๆ ไปเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษเกี่ยวกับเทศกาลฮาโลวีน

haunted house = บ้านผีสิง

jack-o'-latern = ตะเกียง / โคมไฟแกะสลักจากฟักทอง

pumpkin = ฟักทอง

ghost = ผี

witch = แม่มด

broomstick = ไม้กวาด

bat = ค้างคาว

spider = แมงมุม

spider web = ใยแมงมุม

October = เดือนตุลาคม

candy = ลูกกวาด

Trick-or-Treat = หลอกหรือเลี้ยง

ในเทศกาลฮาโลวีน เด็กๆ ชาวตะวันตก จะแต่งตัวเป็นภูติผี สัตว์ประหลาด แม่มด หรือ พ่อมด ไปเคาะประตูบ้านผู้คนในละแวกนั้น โดยเน้นบ้านที่ประดับโคมไฟฟักทอง จากนั้นเด็กๆ จะถามเจ้าของบ้านว่า จะเลี้ยงดูหรือจะให้หลอก โดยใช้ข้อความ Trick or Treat! นั่นเอง

ขึ้นอยู่กับเจ้าของบ้านว่าจะตอบอย่างไร จะเลี้ยงขนม หรือให้เด็กๆ หลอกผี ถ้าเจ้าของบ้านยอมแพ้ก็เลี้ยงขนมเด็กๆ เลยทันที ถ้าเจ้าของบ้านท้าให้หลอกเมื่อเด็กๆ หลอกเสร็จแล้ว เจ้าของบ้านจะเลี้ยงขนมเด็กๆ เช่นกัน โดยมักให้เป็นลูกกวาดหรือขนมหวาน

Wai Kru Ceremony at Ban Danload School:กิจกรรมไหว้ครูโรงเรียนบ้านด่านโลด

The wai kru ceremony is a Thai ritual in which students pay respect to their teachers. It is usually held towards the beginning of the new academic year. The ceremony is held in June on Thursday. On this day students bring a bunch of flowers to their teachers as a symbol of their respect and readiness to learn.

The wai kru ceremony 2014 at Ban Danload School took place on June 5th. Our students from Anuban 1 to Prathom 6 brought their flower bouquets such as "dok khem" (needle flower), ya praek (Burmuda grass) and jasmine garlands for the teacher.

ขอต้อนรับเด็กๆ คุณครู ผู้ปกครองและผู้สนใจทั่วไปสู่ห้องสมุดโรงเรียนบ้านด่านโลดในปีการศึกษา 2557

Welcome back to school to all students of Ban Danload School.

เริ่มต้นปีการศึกษาใหม่ ห้องสมุดโรงเรียนบ้านด่านโลดมีสภาพแวดล้อมที่เอื้อต่อการเรียนรู้มากยิ่งขึ้นเนื่องจากได้มีการทาสีอาคารใหม่ทั้งภายในและภายนอก และยังรวมไปถึงการปรับปรุงระบบอินเทอร์เน็ตความเร็วสูง ส่งผลให้คุณครูและนักเรียนสามารถค้นหาข้อมูลจากแหล่งเรียนรู้ออนไลน์ได้สะดวกมากยิ่งขึ้น ต้องขอขอบคุณผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนบ้านด่านโลด ผอ.สมพร ชนะสิทธิ์ เป็นอย่างยิ่ง ที่ให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาการศึกษาอย่างต่อเนื่อง เป็นการเตรียมความพร้อมนักเรียนเพื่อก้าวสู่ศควรรษที่ 21

It's time to report some good news. We have a newly painted library and many new books. We also get high speed Internet service for students and teachers to take advantage of high-quality content. On behalf of the library staff, we would like to say a special thank you to our school principal, Mr. Somporn Chanasit. Digital learning is critical to preparing our students for success in the 21st century.

กิจกรรมที่ห้องสมุดฯ มุ่งมั่นจะพัฒนาอย่างเต็มที่ต่อไปคือการเพิ่มพูนความรู้เกี่ยวกับประชาคมอาเซียนให้แก่นักเรียน คุณครูทุกท่านและบุคคลทั่วไป ในปีการศึกษานี้ทางห้องสมุดฯ ได้ผลิตสื่อการเรียนรู้ใหม่ๆ ร่วมกับพี่ๆ ชั้นป.6 และสร้างมุมเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับประชาคมอาเซียนขึ้นมา เด็กๆ อย่าลืมมาเติมเต็มความรู้กันได้ทุกวันที่มุม ASEAN CORNER ของห้องสมุด

กิจกรรมไหว้ครูของนักเรียนโรงเรียนบ้านด่านโลดประจำปีการศึกษา 2557 ก็ได้ดำเนินการเป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว นักเรียนตั้งแต่ระดับชั้นอนุบาล 1 ถึงประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ได้มีโอกาสแสดงความรักต่อคุณครูด้วยการนำพานและดอกไม้ มาแสดงความเคารพและระลึกถึงพระคุณครู
